Chicken Kofta Curry is a flavorful and comforting dish made with tender chicken meatballs simmered in a rich, spiced gravy. It’s a versatile recipe – perfect for weeknight dinners yet special enough for guests. I love having this with Paratha (Porota) , plain rice or even pulao to make it extra special! You guys will love this dish!

Ingredients

For Kofta:  (Meatballs)

  • 1.5-2lb Chicken Keema  
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Mint  
  • 4-5 Green chilies  
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro  
  • 1tbsp Chopped Ginger  
  • 1tbsp Chopped garlic  
  • 1.5 tsp Garam masala  
  • 1.5 tsp Cumin powder  
  • 2 tsp paprika  
  • 1/4 cup onion  
  • 2tbsp besan  
  • salt to taste  

For the curry:  

  • 3tbsp Ghee + 1/4 cup oil  
  • 1 cup onion chopped  
  • 1.5 tsp Ginger paste  
  • 1.5 tsp garlic paste  
  • 1 cup Tomato Puree  
  • 2tsp Turmeric powder  
  • 2tsp Cumin powder  
  • 2tsp Coriander powder  
  • 2tsp paprika 
  • 1.5 tsp red chili powder (cayenne pepper)  
  • 1/3 Cup Yogurt  
  • Salt to taste  
  • 2 medium potatoes cut in cubes  
  • 1/2 cup water  

Whole spices  

  • 2-3 Cardamom  
  • 1 Cinnamon  
  • 3-4 Clove  
  • 4-5 Black pepper  
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds  

Garnish:  

  • Green chilies  
  • Cilantro  
  • Pinch of garam masala powder
