This drink is inspired by my recent trip to Mecca and Medina. It’s a very popular smoothie in Saudi Arabia, especially during hot weather. Thabakath consists of layers of fruit juices, often made with strawberry, mango, and avocado. I love this drink, it’s so refreshing and filling!

Ingredients

  • 1 large banana
  • 1 mango
  • 2 kiwis
  • 5–6 strawberries
  • 6–7 blackberries (optional)
  • 2.5 cups Milk or store-bought fruit juice (apple or guava)
  • 1tbsp Honey (for topping)
  • 1.5tsp Sugar or Monkfruit sweetener (optional)
  • Walnuts & raisins (for topping)

Directions

  1. Layer 1: Blend mango with milk until smooth.
  2. Layer 2: Blend strawberries, banana, and milk or juice until smooth.
  3. Layer 3: Blend kiwi, banana, and milk or juice until smooth.
  4. Layer 4: Blend blackberries (if using), banana, and milk or juice until smooth.
  5. Optionally add sugar or sweetener to each layer if needed
  6. To Assemble
Carefully pour each blended mixture into a serving glass, one layer at a time.
  7. Top with honey, walnuts, and raisins.
    Serve chilled and enjoy!
